Only a few years ago, getting fit while on holiday was never really at the forefront of anyone’s minds. Vacations were meant for relaxing by the pool, indulging in good (which most of the time meant bad) foods, shopping, drinking copious amounts of cocktails and having fun, right?

Well, not anymore. These days health and wellbeing is the new lifestyle to live by. Getting fit whilst on your break is seen as recharging your batteries and kind of a must-do these days. And the Peninsula Beverly Hills has created a program that allows guests to do just that.

Introducing Fit Like the Stars which is just one of seven bespoke programs designed to provide guests with a taste of the very best of local Los Angeles culture. The Peninsula Beverly Hills has partnered with fitness phenomenon Bodyism founder James Duigan, a globally respected health and fitness expert, to create an exclusive and bespoke fitness program especially for their hotel guests. It means travellers can discover first-hand how to get lean, toned and fit as well as have the opportunity to train like the stars.

Train like the stars with The Peninsula Beverly Hills and Bodyism

Set at the iconic Runyon Canyon, the program starts off with a pre-workout shake for a much-needed energy boost. From there a Bodyism trainer will guide you through a series of yoga stretches at the base of the rocky mountain to warm your muscles up.

Once finished, you’ll embark on (pending your fitness levels) a hike up to the top of the mountain. Once up the top where you’ll definitely need to catch your breath, this is where you’ll be able to take in views from all over Los Angeles as far as the eye can see (which is the perfect time to take a few cheeky snaps like I did).

From there on it’s a breeze cruising down the face of the Santa Monica mountains where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel room at The Peninsula Beverly Hills.

And it doesn’t stop there! Personal monogrammed pillow cases sitting on your perfectly made bed, a chill session down in the heated rooftop pool post your hike and as the sun starts to set, and a special Bodyism Serenity shake (which aims to promote a relaxing and restful nights sleep) will be waiting by your bed side table, alongside some great reading material – a copy of James Duigan’s best selling book, Clean & Lean Diet.

We say that sounds like the perfect end to a big day.

We love: The Peninsula Time

Perfect for Australian guests, The Peninsula Beverly Hills understands that your time is precious especially when your flight is not until later the following night. So to allow the guests to enjoy the whole stay with greater flexibility, the hotel offers ‘Peninsula Time’, a unique check-in/check-out experience which literally makes a day at The Peninsula last longer than 24 hours. By prior arrangement, you may check in and out at any hour of the day or night for no additional fee.

So for those of you looking to do a luxe health and fitness getaway, The Peninsula Beverly Hills couldn’t come more highly recommended and has just the program waiting for you. Expect to be pampered with a capital “P” here.

We know where we’ll be in LA on our next trip! Maybe we’ll see you there out at the Runyon Canyon
